Alta-Pak Midwest, Inc. manufactures and distributes "Alta-Pak" loose fill, flowable packaging material under our exclusive franchise agreement from Storopack (Germany) and Alta-Pak International.

"Alta-Pak" is manufactured in a new plant facility of over 30,000 Sq. Ft. at 3401 North Jackson, Kansas City, MO 64117. Exclusive Territorial rights include Western Missouri, Kansas, Western Iowa and Nebraska.

Alta-Pak Midwest, Inc. was founded by John Schweitzer on January 1, 1982. Operations have been continuous since that date and forecasts for the future appear promising - the company has been financially successful from the outset.

From a modest beginning of Schweitzer and the plant manager Keith Snapp, we have grown and presently have 11 full-time employees-the manufacturing process is not labor intensive.

Alta-Pak (a registered mark) is a flowable-cushioning packaging material of extruded polystyrene, expanded to a convex "cup". It is used for product protection and is a void fill.

Typical products being shipped in Alta-Pak include ceramics and other highly fragile products, tools, paper supplies, gift items, kitchen accessories, veterinarian and medical products, electronic equipment and more. Alta-Pak can be used in shipping virtually any product.

Cost studies indicate a substantial labor - savings comparing flowable material with other packing mediums (i.e. bubble-wrap, foam-wrap etc.) The use of portable dispensing systems has greatly increased the use of Alta-Pak due to the efficiencies associated there with (controls spillage and labor efficient.) Alta-Pak Midwest, Inc. designs and installs large multi-bag systems which are custom-designed to fit the particular needs of the customer.

Distribution from our plant in Kansas City, Missouri is made in 14 cubic ft. bags or bulk truck loads. Within the Kansas City metropolitan area deliveries are generally made the following day and in case of an emergency the same day. Customer pick-up at the plant is welcome as we keep a large inventory of material on hand at all times.

Marketing is conducted though our "in-house" sales people and dealer-brokers.

In addition to flowable packaging material we distribute on a wholesale basis all other products used in shipping. Our lines include corrugated boxes, both new stock boxes & misprints, foam, bubble-wrap, various tapes, strapping, newsprint, single face corrugated, polar paks, padded envelopes as well as a variety of other products. We can satisfy all your shipping needs.
